What happens after the consultation call?

If you and the therapist decide to move forward, you will receive an email from noreply@sessionshealth.com with a link to create your client portal and complete registration paperwork.

Does Manatee Mental Health treat trauma?

Yes. Manatee Mental Health works with clients who have experienced trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, attachment wounds, dissociation, and patterns that developed as ways to survive difficult experiences.

Stephanie often uses Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems / parts work, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and nervous system regulation tools to support trauma healing. Therapy may include helping you process painful experiences, understand protective patterns, build safety in the present, and relate to yourself with more compassion.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a therapy approach that helps the brain and body process experiences that may feel stuck, overwhelming, or difficult to fully talk through. It is often used for trauma, anxiety, grief, emotional pain, and other experiences that can feel stored in the body.

During Brainspotting, your therapist helps you identify an eye position, or “brainspot,” that may connect with the issue you want to work on. From there, therapy moves at your pace while you notice thoughts, emotions, body sensations, memories, or whatever naturally comes up. The goal is not to force anything, but to give your brain and body space to process and move toward healing.

Is Manatee Mental Health LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity affirming?

Yes. Manatee Mental Health is LGBTQIA+ affirming and neurodiversity affirming. Therapy is meant to be a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you do not have to explain or defend who you are.

Stephanie works to honor each client’s identity, lived experience, strengths, communication style, sensory needs, and goals. Therapy may include support around identity exploration, relationships, self-acceptance, trauma, anxiety, depression, masking, burnout, or navigating systems that have not always felt affirming.
