How to Ask About Mental Health Coverage
Health insurance can be confusing. Call the number on the back of your insurance card or log in to your insurance company’s website. Follow the prompts for “eligibility and benefits” or “search for a provider.”
When you speak with your insurance company, you may want to ask:
- Is Manatee Mental Health, Stephanie Ruppert, MA, LMFT, in-network with my plan?
- Will I be responsible for a copay, coinsurance, or deductible amount?
- Does my plan have a session limit per year?
- If Manatee Mental Health is not in-network, what are my out-of-network benefits?
- Can I submit a superbill directly for possible reimbursement?
